LUGANSK, 27 Jul. Pupils and students of the Lugansk People's Republic hung in one of the parks of Luhansk white doves made of paper made by themselves — the action was organized in memory of the dead children of Donbass, the correspondent reports.
In the neighboring Donetsk People's Republic, July 27 is a date of mourning, «Day of Remembrance for Children Victims of the War in Donbass.» The head of the region, Denis Pushilin, said on Thursday that 228 children have been killed there by Ukrainian shells since 2014. Earlier, the acting head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, said that during the conflict in the Donbass, 58 children died in the republic. 
«From time immemorial, a white dove has been considered a symbol of peace. The youth of the Luhansk People's Republic made white doves at a master class, we hang them on trees in memory of the dead children of Donbass We hope that peace will soon come to our land and the little angels will stop dying,» Irina Shmyrina, specialist of the Ministry of Youth Policy of the LPR, told reporters during the action.
According to the children and teenagers who took part in the event, their biggest dream is to end the war. Funeral events are held on this day in different cities of the republic. In memory of the dead children, the inhabitants of the LPR light candles and release white balloons into the sky.
