Updated Mercedes-Benz V-Class, EQV, Vito and eVito: modern style and rich equipment

Refreshed passenger vans and vans (both with internal combustion engines and with all-electric «stuffing») will go on sale in the European market next year.

The production of the Mercedes-Benz V-Class started back in 1996; over the past years, the model has changed generation twice. The passenger van and Vito van of the current third generation entered the market in 2014, and they experienced the first restyling in 2019. In the summer of the same year, serial fully electric versions debuted — the EQV passenger van and the e-Vito van. Now the German company has updated the entire family.

Now the entire restyled line of vans has been declassified in full. During the update, the models' appearance was slightly changed, now it is more in line with the current corporate identity.

In general, the body of all cars included in the family remained unchanged. The adjustments can be considered cosmetic: they are concentrated in the front. ICE models received a larger grille that descends to the bottom of the front bumper, where it almost merges with the now narrower central air intake. The side elements are also designed differently, while the manufacturer did not touch the head optics (some versions will have LED headlights with the adaptive high beam function).

The top V-Class got a chrome grille with thin rods in the style of the current S-Class with a logo in the form of a separate element; the simpler version received a grille dotted with small three-beam stars with two horizontal lines extending from a large brand name in the center, while the EQV has a similarly designed plug, however, instead of a pattern of stars, it has glossy black plastic. The design of the front parts of the updated Vito and eVito vans is almost identical: the plug of the electric version looks the same as the plastic grille of the ICE version.

Vans of the refreshed family received more light-alloy wheels with a new original design, available sizes — 17, 18 and 19 inches (depending on version). In addition, five new options have been added to the body color palette of the models.

In the cabin of the passenger versions of the updated family (including the camper with the addition of Marco Polo to the name), there is a large horizontal display on the front panel that combines a digital tidy and a touchscreen of the MBUX infotainment system; The diagonal of each screen is 12.3 inches. Vans have a 5.5-inch instrument panel and a 10.25-inch touchscreen multimedia display.

Standard versions of passenger vans and vans include: automatic high-low beam function, rain sensors, adaptive cruise control with active distance control, active braking system, blind spot monitoring, lane keeping, speed limit detection, and refreshed The V-Class and EQV also have a parking assistant.

The company has not yet said anything about the technology of the refreshed Mercedes-Benz V-Class, EQV, Vito and eVito; it is possible that it has remained the same. The models will be available on the European market in 2024. Recall that in 2026, the new Van.EA electric modular platform, designed for light commercial vehicles of the German brand, should debut.
