Shortly after the announcement of mobilization in Russia, on the night of September 23, 2022, a man with a stocking on his head threw two burning cocktails at the entrance door of the administration building Molotov and ran away. The Ministry of Emergency Situations said that the fire was extinguished before the arrival of firefighters. Officials called the damage «insignificant.»

Magalyas, 38, was detained two days later. In the city public they wrote that a resident of Kamyshin was born in Dnepropetrovsk, he is 37 years old and has two children. Magalyas previously served as a preacher for the Lutheran community of Kamyshin. On his page on VKontakte, the man did not write about the war in Ukraine, but after the start of mobilization he published the words of the song “Train on Fire” by the Aquarium group.

Magalyas was found guilty of attempted arson (part 3 of the article 30, part 2 of article 167 of the Criminal Code) and hooliganism (part 2 of article 213 of the Criminal Code). As the court clarified, the kamyshanin “confessed his guilt, repented” and made “donations to the SVO fund.”
