MOSCOW, 26 Jul. The All-Russian premiere of a new documentary film about Tauric Chersonesos will take place on July 28, the Day of the Baptism of Rus'. This was reported on the page of the My History Foundation on VKontakte.
The picture will be the first work about the ancient city, which combines several formats at once. Thanks to Russian documentaries, viewers will be able to travel back in time to the history of past centuries. They are waiting for «3D reconstruction of ancient architecture, acting, animation and footage of the latest archaeological excavations,» according to a press release.
Historians, reenactors, writers, musicians, search engines, costume designers and composers took part in the work on the project. The film is based on thousands of scientific developments.
Chersonese Tauride was founded by the ancient Greeks on the southwestern coast of Crimea. The city existed until the XIV century. In 1827, the first excavations for scientific purposes began, as a result of which three temples were discovered.
