The Prime Minister himself had a rest in such a place
High-quality and safe rest with meaning, and even affordable for every citizen of Russia — such ambitious tasks were set by Mikhail Mishustin for hoteliers. On July 26, in Altai, the Prime Minister held a meeting with the Cabinet of Ministers on the topic of tourism and the development of the hospitality sector. “Everyone loves to travel. The main thing is to make it accessible, comfortable and safe,” the prime minister said.
The quality of tourist services and the creation of all the necessary infrastructure — this is what the entire hospitality industry in Russia should focus on. Mikhail Mishustin made a special emphasis on this.
— Our nature is the best in the world. In Russia, you can find absolutely any landscape, any place. The main thing is meanings, — the prime minister emphasized, looking at an exhibition of projects of new domestic health resorts before the meeting.
Resting with meaning is not our usual “all inclusive” with a battle for a beach lounger and a buffet, but a competent combination of doing nothing with moderate loading of muscles and brain. The goal is to make sure that at the domestic resort a tourist can relax, study, and engage in creativity or sports. In terms of sports, Mishustin himself showed class by beating German Gref in air hockey shortly before the meeting.
— It is very important that people who come to rest, with their families, with friends, can receive a large number of offers both with the opportunity to see the sights, and related to self-development, doing science, new studies, the historical roots of the places where they come, — asked vector of development of the hospitality industry.
Well, and most importantly, people should be able to afford the rest.
— It is necessary to proceed from the fact that rest should be accessible to people with different levels of income. So that people with different incomes have the opportunity to travel, relax, and, well, use all the services that those who create modern health resorts and resorts provide them, the head of the Cabinet said.
By the way, this format has already been implemented Altai hoteliers. In the same mountain resort there are both five-star hotels and simpler three-star hotels.
Separately, the Prime Minister dwelled on the issues of safety of rest. Literally a day before the meeting, a tragedy occurred in Altai, a truck with tourists overturned, resulting in the death of one person. Mikhail Mishustin expressed condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased and spoke about the causes of the disaster:
— According to preliminary data, this vehicle was out of order, the organizers of the tour did not have any licenses to transport people. Here we establish moratoriums, we often say that some kind of pressure is excessive. But there are things that everyone needs to consider. What concerns the life and safety of people should be under special control, the prime minister said and drew the attention of the governors of all regions to how they provide tourism services.
— Here it would be good to look for a solution together with business to minimize the recurrence of such cases. The safety and health of people should be at the center of our attention, — said the head of the Cabinet.
In general, as the prime minister noted, there is an influx of tourists to Russian resorts, and a very solid one. Of course, external factors have also tried here, but even without them, domestic tourism is becoming more popular year by year.
— For example, I myself hear this from friends and acquaintances, and from work colleagues, — Mishustin admitted , — Now routes are appearing in the most picturesque corners, conditions are being improved for beach, medical and recreational and active recreation, for children's and youth tourism — which is very important.
The prime minister set the task of bringing Russian tourism to a qualitatively new level. It is also necessary to improve transport accessibility and modernize the hotel base. More than one hundred billion rubles have been allocated for this within the framework of the national project «Tourism and Hospitality Development» over the past two years.
— Financing of the industry has increased significantly. We see a concrete return on such investments. For the tourism industry, the availability of convenient and comfortable accommodation has always been the main thing. Now we have more than 30 thousand of them. More than a million numbers are available, of which about 800,000 are qualified, the head of government said. Mishustin also stressed that now people are increasingly choosing not the private sector, but hotels, recreation centers and campsites. Demand for them is growing.
Mishustin was especially impressed by the modular hotels. For their construction, the Cabinet launched a special program. A modular hotel is a non-permanent house that can be assembled in a day without harming nature. Hoteliers receive them ready-made from production. The main thing is that the site has infrastructure and communications. As for the rest, you collected, drove in and live.
Inside such a hotel, everything is like in a full-fledged hotel, and as a bonus — panoramic windows overlooking the pristine natural wealth of Altai. In 75 days, 10 modular houses have already appeared in the resort area of the region, and it is planned to double the number of rooms in the near future.
By the way, it was the lack of rooms in ordinary hotels that spurred local businessmen to «light» building solutions. As a result, it is good for tourists, and environmentalists are not offended — the aesthetics of the living forest are preserved, the houses are in pines and ferns. Well, production is loaded for a year and a half in advance, which is also beneficial for the region's economy. The prime minister said that he himself had been to such hotels — he liked it.
— Last year I visited such a modular structure on vacation, — said Mishustin, — It's amazing. I never imagined that it was possible to make a place of stay in areas not yet inhabited by mankind, with beautiful nature, so simply, fairly inexpensively and environmentally friendly.
