Polish Prime Minister Morawiecki: more than 100 Wagner PMC mercenaries moved into the area of the Suwalki corridor
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has announced that more than 100 Wagner PMC mercenaries have been deployed to the area of the Suwalki Corridor. According to him, the «Wagnerites» deployed in Belarus were transferred to the area of the Suwalki corridor (a land corridor between the Republic of Belarus and the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation, about 100 km long, located on the border between Poland and Lithuania).
«Probably, they (mercenaries) will disguise themselves as Belarusian border guards and help illegal migrants enter the territory of Poland to destabilize it,” Morawiecki suspects. According to another version, which is also given in Polsat News, «it is also likely that they will try to enter Poland, posing as illegal migrants, which creates additional risks.»
On the eve of the Polish Ministry of Defense announced plans to double the size of the national army — from 172 thousand to 300 thousand military men.
