Earlier, the Moscow Region prosecutor's office reported that on July 28, 29 employees of an enterprise in Krasnogorsk were hospitalized with poisoning, the department began an investigation. According to the prosecutor's office, all those who applied for medical help felt unwell after eating in the working canteen. Later, a law enforcement source said that the number of those poisoned at the enterprise in Krasnogorsk had grown to 30 people, including six Russians and 24 foreigners.
Rospotrebnadzor of the Moscow Region reported that 38 people applied for medical assistance with symptoms of poisoning in Krasnogorsk, 31 of them were hospitalized. In turn, the Ministry of Health of the Moscow Region told the agency that medical institutions subordinate to the regional Ministry of Health received 34 patients from Krasnogorsk with symptoms of poisoning, the condition of patients of moderate severity.
The Moscow Region Department of the Investigative Committee reported that a criminal case had been initiated into the poisoning of several people under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
