The Simonovsky District Court of Moscow registered the materials of the administrative case against musician Andrey Makarevich, Mediazona drew attention to the case file in the court database.
A protocol was drawn up against Makarevich due to the lack of a “foreign agent” marking in publications (part 4 of article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), the date of the meeting has not yet been set.
The Ministry of Justice declared the musician a «foreign agent» in early September last year. The Zamoskvoretsky District Court of Moscow rejected Makarevich's claim to challenge this status.
The head of the human rights «Agora» Pavel Chikov, referring to excerpts from the court decision, said that the leader of the «Time Machine» group was included in the register at the request of the «E» Center. The court concluded that Makarevich “influences the audience in order to propagate a deviant model of behavior that is inconsistent with state policy” in Russia.
Lawyer Alexander Peredruk said that the musician was added to the list because of the interviews he gave to foreign journalists and the media, recognized as «foreign agents», for example, the Dozhd TV channel.
The day before, the Cheryomushkinsky District Court registered the materials of an administrative case on the absence of a “foreign agent” marking against the founder of the project Conflict Intelligence Team by Ruslan Leviev. On July 26, Moscow courts received similar protocols against historian Andrei Zubov and Dozhd host Yekaterina Kotrikadze.
