
VLADIVOSTOK, July 31 A five-month-old girl died in a collision between a truck and a passenger car in Primorsky Krai, three more children and two adults received various injuries, according to press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region.
According to the press service, the accident occurred on the Ussuri highway. It was previously established that both cars were driving from Vladivostok towards Khabarovsk, and the driver of the Sitrak C7H truck collided with a Nissan March moving in front of him. A 52-year-old man was driving this car, in the cabin were a 50-year-old woman and their four grandchildren: ten-year-old and two-year-old boys, as well as five-month-old twins. The five-month-old boy was held in his arms, and the girl was in the back seat.
«A five-month-old girl died as a result of a traffic accident. The driver and four passengers of the Nissan March were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity,» the report says press services.
According to the press service, this year the truck driver was not held liable for improper driving, he was not found to be intoxicated. His driving experience is four years.
It is noted that a criminal case under Part 3 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Violation of traffic rules, negligently resulting in the death of a person). The maximum term of imprisonment for violation of this part of the article is five years.
