KAZAN, July 26 A lot depends on journalists and filmmakers today, they are the ones who are able to convey the truth about SVO to the viewer, said the director of Tatarkino, Milyausha Aytuganova, as part of the RT.Doc festival : Time of Heroes.
The International Documentary Film Festival «RT.Doc: Time of Heroes» opened in Kazan on July 25. The audience was presented with 15 best films about the heroes of the special military operation, meetings with filmmakers, round tables and discussions were organized.
“It is the reporters who know how and want to work on the front lines who have received an additional one, I can’t say that the chance, probably, is still the opportunity to say their true word and express their life position in relation to this. And from journalists who shoot documentaries films, a lot also depends,» Aituganova said during the round table «Cultural Front: Art that Inspires Heroic Deeds.»
In her opinion, it is very important that at the level of young filmmakers there is an understanding that a lot depends on them, how they will present what is happening in their films.
“It is very important to convey the truth to our multi-million audience. And to say it really openly, in contrast. We actually lag behind in propaganda, we must admit this,” she said.
Aytuganova called it a boon that there are no Hollywood films in cinemas today that instill Hollywood values in the audience. “For some time there was a vacuum in cinemas, and now this vacuum is being replaced by Russian films. Now it’s just important to catch that very moment and make a lot of our good product, Russian, with our values, with our heroes. Time is the most important thing now , time cannot be wasted, it cannot be wasted on some unnecessary things,» the director of Tatarkino explained.
In addition, according to Aytuganova, today it is important for all creative forces, especially those involved in cinema, to unite. «We need to unite, and everyone should have an understanding that only a strong cultural elite can influence events and inspire people who shed their blood, this is important,» she stressed.
The International Documentary Film Festival «RT.Doc: Time of Heroes» takes place in Kazan from 25 to 27 July. The organizer of the festival is the RT channel. The film forum has already been held in Moscow and Krasnodar, after Kazan it is expected in Irkutsk, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Kursk and Grozny.
