BEB: Yumopeu and Webmoney, which conducted transactions in Russian rubles, were closed in Ukraine
The Economic Security Bureau (BEB) of Ukraine froze the work of exchangers that performed transactions in Russian currency. This was reported by the press service of the bureau.
"Employees of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine… exposed individuals and legal entities that organized the «shadow» scheme of money transfers through YuMoney and Webmoney,» the department's Telegram channel said.
According to the bureau, the special services searched the places of residence of the owners of the exchange sites in Sumy, Kharkiv, Kiev and Rivne, established and recorded withdrawal of the Russian ruble through these exchange platforms.
In the spring of 2022, the National Bank of Kiev restricted transactions with the currency of the Russian Federation and called on the central banks of Western countries to take the same measures.
