MOSCOW, July 31 Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law banning registration on Russian websites using foreign e-mail from December. The corresponding document is published on the official portal of legal information.
On Russian sites where registration is required, only four registration methods will be assumed: by the phone number of the operator of the Russian Federation, through the State Services or the Unified Biometric System, or through another information system owned by a Russian citizen or a Russian legal entity.
Relevant requirements come into force on December 1, 2023.
