MOSCOW, 29 Jul. RT organized a meeting of journalists from African media with the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, and announced the creation of a pan-African forum.
At the event, Zakharova noted the gigantic cultural potential of the two sides. The discussion lasted over two hours. Representatives of major publications and TV channels had the opportunity to ask their questions.
At the session «Pan-Africanism: origins, modernity, future», the descendants of the outstanding leaders of the continent announced the creation of an anti-colonial heritage forum (PFAN) with the support of RT and the international video news agency Ruptly.
The meeting was attended by descendants of African politicians: Ndileka Mandela, Nomatemba Tambo, Josina Machel, Mehdia bin Bella, Gamal Abdel Nasser Jr., Madaraka Nyerere, Roland Lumumba, Kavechi Kaunda. Musa Ibrahim, head of RT's Africa bureau, moderated.
