Tallinn police have detained a man who, on the night of July 30, threw eggs at the building of the Russian embassy. This is reported by Delfi.
The detainee is a man born in 1977. The police said that «a case has been opened against him.» Which article is unknown.
Last night, journalist Arkady Babchenko published a photo from a police car on his social networks with the caption: “Estonian gulls are flying over our zoooooo … And now it’s dinner in prison.” Answering a question from one of the Facebook users, he said that he threw eggs at the building of the Russian Embassy in Tallinn. Babchenko is the same age as the one detained by the Estonian police.

Arkady Babchenko left Russia in 2017, fearing for his safety after posting about the Russian Defense Ministry Tu-154 crash while flying to Syria . In the publication, Babchenko expressed the opinion that the deceased artists of the Alexandrov Ensemble “are not worthy of regret.”
In the summer of 2017, the journalist moved to Kyiv. In May 2018, the SBU conducted a special operation staging his death. The Ukrainian security forces reported that in this way they prevented the assassination attempt on Babchenko, which was being prepared by the Russian special services. In the fall of 2019, the journalist left Ukraine, explaining his departure as a threat to him and his family.
In the summer of 2020, Rosfinmonitoring added Arkady Babchenko to the list of terrorists and extremists. In April 2023, the Ministry of Justice declared the journalist a «foreign agent».
