The Financial and Analytical Department of the Czech Republic seized the property and blocked the accounts of billionaire Vladimir Yevtushenkov and his son Felix. This is reported by Czech Television.
The five-star Savoy Westend hotel in Karlovy Vary, in particular, fell under arrest. As the channel notes, Russian artists and businessmen often rested in it. Now the hotel operates in a limited mode — it serves customers who have paid for accommodation until the end of June, and does not accept new reservations.
The total value of Yevtushenkov's arrested assets, according to Czech Television, is 100 million kroons.
The Czech Republic added Vladimir and Felix Yevtushenkov to its sanctions list at the end of June.
Yevtushenkov Sr. is the founder of AFK Sistema, which includes MTS and Medsi clinics. Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia have imposed sanctions against it. In September, the billionaire's assets were also confiscated by Ukraine.
