MOSCOW, July 31 Deputy Prime Minister — Plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev approved the architecture of the business program of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), which will be held September 10-13 in Vladivostok, the press service of the embassy staff reported.
Trutnev held a meeting on preparations for the VIII Eastern Economic Forum. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, during its existence, the forum has become a key platform for developing decisions that are of great importance not only for the Far East, but for the entire Asia-Pacific region, a platform for attracting investments, multilateral cooperation and international cooperation, with Russia turning to East its role has increased.
«The main topic of this year's forum is «On the way to cooperation, peace and prosperity». If we talk about architecture, then we let's keep the traditional blocks and adapt them to the current international situation, modern challenges and the role that the Far East plays for our country,» Trutnev said in the message.
It is clarified that the EEF-2023 business program includes six key blocks: «International cooperation in a changed world», «Logistics of change», «The Far East in ten years. What has happened and what needs to be done», «Technological development as a guarantee of sovereignty», » Far East of the Future», «Education and upbringing as the basis of independence».
It is noted that following the results of the key sessions, the moderators will report to the head of state on what has been done in the Russian Far East over the past years, as well as outline possible guidelines for the further development of the region.
For guests and participants of the EEF-2023, in addition to business, sports and cultural programs will traditionally be prepared. In addition, the exhibition «Street of the Far East» will be open all the days of the forum on the embankment of Ajax Bay on Russky Island. Visitors will be able to get acquainted with eleven pavilions, which symbolize the original regions of the Far Eastern Federal District.
According to the press service, more than 7,000 participants from 68 countries and territories took part in the WEF-2022. The most numerous were foreign delegations from China, Myanmar, Mongolia, India, Armenia, and the Republic of Korea. Over 100 events were held as part of the main program of the forum, 296 agreements were signed for a total of 3.272 trillion rubles.
