MOSCOW, July 31 Canon, Fujifilm and Sony cameras have been added to the updated list of goods for parallel import, follows from the document obtained.
In addition, the list included Duracell batteries, eyewear brands Ray-Ban, Hugo and Calvin Klein, as well as spare parts for Isuzu cars. At the same time, as planned, Acuvue contact lenses were not included in the list.
Last week, Vasily Osmakov, First Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, announced in an interview that a new list of goods for parallel imports had been approved. He specified that the document would soon be submitted to the Ministry of Justice.
Last spring, the government legalized parallel import< /span>under Western sanctions. The list of foreign goods and manufacturers is formed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. According to the Federal Customs Service (FCS), since the introduction of this regime, the volume of imported products has exceeded $20 billion. According to Vladimir Bulavin, head of the Federal Customs Service, these are mainly cars, machine tools and equipment.
As the ministry clarified, there are clear criteria for including or excluding a brand from the list. If a company left the Russian market, stopped deliveries and closed its production in Russia, then it gets on the list. If foreign partners fulfill their contractual obligations, their products are presented in sufficient quantities on the market and they are supplied to domestic enterprises, the brand is excluded from the list.
