MOSCOW, August 1 The previously downloaded Tinkoff Bank app will continue to work after being removed from the Google Play app store, the credit institution said in its Telegram channel. At the same time, the bank advised not to delete already installed applications.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Tinkoff Bank mobile application disappeared from the Google Play app store, the correspondent was convinced. At the same time, other applications of the Tinkoff ecosystem are still available — this is the application of the Tinkoff Investments broker and the Tinkoff Mobile operator.
«Due to Google restrictions, the Tinkoff applications have disappeared from Google Play. We tell you what is important for Android device owners to know. … Already downloaded applications will continue operate as usual,» the bank said.
«Do not delete already downloaded applications. Our applications continue to work as usual on android and iOS. But they cannot be updated yet,» the bank adds in a post on its website.
Now you can download and update Tinkoff applications through the Xiaomi GetApps, Samsung Galaxy Store, Huawei AppGallery stores or from the page on the Tinkoff website, the bank noted.
As for new customers, a Tinkoff representative will help them get access to remote service at a meeting when receiving a bank card or other product.
In March, Tinkoff Bank applications were already removed from the App Store — an application store for iOS users. Tinkoff Investments, Tinkoff Mobile and other applications of the company also became unavailable. At the end of February, Tinkoff was included in the 10th package of EU anti-Russian sanctions. And in July, the United States and Canada imposed sanctions against the credit institution.
