MOSCOW, Aug 2. Tele2 has provided communications to all metropolitan centers Mesto Vstrechi as part of a project to reconstruct old Soviet cinemas in residential areas of Moscow, the mobile operator reports.
Currently, the operator's connection is available in all 15 open Mesto Vstrechi centers, and by the end of the project it will appear in more than 20 points.
«District centers are being actively built in Moscow, where Tele2 is installing the necessary equipment to ensure indoor-coverage, allowing residents of the city to stay in touch while they are in the centers,» the message says.
In total, Tele2 uses more than 800 antennas, 50 thousand meters of feeder and over 1000 AFS elements (antenna-feeder system), including dividers, tappers, combiners and matrices to equip the Mesto Vstrechi centers.
«The structures of modern buildings often interfere with the transmission of a radio signal from outdoor base stations, and to ensure good communication quality indoors, additional antenna-feeder systems must be installed. At the construction stage, operators' employees draw up a design project based on 3D models of future coverage, identifying the required number and installation sites for telecom infrastructure elements. Cooperation between operators and developers makes it possible to connect indoor equipment in a timely manner and thereby provide a stable signal and stable Internet for the first visitors to regional centers,» Alexey Krushinin, technical director of the Moscow macro-region Tele2, explained.
