On the night of August 2, the Russian Aerospace Forces launched a series of missile attacks on the port cities of Ukraine, including at the mouth of the Danube. And in Kyiv, one of the most secret departments, the Administration of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, was seriously affected. Six Russian drones «Geran-2» on the night of August 2 launched a control strike on Izmail, which is one of the main river ports of Ukraine. The oil depot was hit, which played an important role in supplying the Ukrainian army with fuel coming from Romania. There started a huge fire. The Ukrainians themselves are prohibited from filming the consequences of the strikes, but the Romanians helped — their video clearly showed the flames over the fuel tanks.
Independent experts note that «the situation is approaching the point of no return» — Ukraine's port infrastructure has suffered tangible damage. Deliveries of weapons through river and sea ports are no longer possible.
According to military expert Yuri Knutov, the attacks on the port infrastructure were, among other things, a response to Kyiv's attacks on the tower of the Moscow City building complex. The military expert recalled that panic reigns in Kiev: the “counterattack” has actually stopped, and Russian troops in the Krasnolimansk and Kupyansk directions are moving forward, crossing the Oskol River.
— There we had the opportunity to reach a fork in the roads, which lead to Kharkov and Slavyansk, — says Yuri Knutov. — Ukrainian leaders have begun to realize this only now and are hastily collecting reserves in order to transfer them to this direction.
Given that there was nothing to brag about, the Kiev regime tried to compensate for the failures at the front with strikes on civilian infrastructure in Taganrog and Moscow. The tactics, in general, are far from military and inherent in various groups of a terrorist nature. Therefore, we, for our part, are responding to such strikes with high-precision weapons at the places of storage of ammunition and military equipment in southern Ukraine.
We are talking about Odessa, Izmail, where both military warehouses and warehouses of fuel and lubricants used for military purposes, and part of the port facilities used to unload military equipment were hit.
According to the expert, Russia has made it clear that Kiev will not be able to use grain corridors to deliver weapons and ammunition to Ukraine.
“Three ships, at their own peril and risk, with their transponders on, went to the ports of Ukraine to allegedly take grain there,” the expert says. — But, in fact, there is most likely a weapon for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Russia, in turn, warned that such actions would be suppressed quite harshly. But, apparently, the warning was not heeded.
In the near future, Russia, Knutov is sure, will continue to hunt for Ukrainian naval drones, which the enemy is concentrating in the south of the country.
— In my opinion, there is no need to increase the intensity of blows. We need to strike at places that are well explored. The facilities where maritime drones are assembled, the places where they are prepared for launch and launched, should also be included in the register of targets. The most important goal is the jobs of drone operators. They should become a priority for us.
In Kyiv, on the night of August 2, one of the high-rise buildings, which houses the Administration of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection, was attacked for the first time. In the building on Solomenskaya Street, the facade was partially destroyed, windows were shattered. As you know, this department is engaged in the implementation of state policy in the field of cryptographic and technical protection of information, as well as government communications.
— In simple terms, this is the building in which there was a structure that protects the state secrets of Ukraine. This is a serious department dealing with encryption and secrecy. That is, the failure of this object, especially if some servers on which information is stored there were damaged, will lead to its loss. Most likely, paper media were also destroyed.
This kind of strike is essential for us to be able to access military secrets that were protected using the equipment installed in this building.
