MOSCOW, August 3The volume of production of components and accessories for motor vehicles from January to May 2023 in Moscow increased by 68.2% compared to the same period last year, said Deputy Moscow Mayor for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Yefimov.
«Moscow enterprises produce electronics, components and accessories for the bodies of cars and vehicles for the transport of passengers and goods. From January to May 2023, the volume of production of auto components in Moscow increased by 68.2% compared to the same period last year and exceeded the figure for May last year more than four times,” said Yefimov, quoted by the press service of the complex of economic policy and property and land relations of the Moscow government.
The press service also noted that such indicators were achieved due to the filling of the vacated niche after the departure of foreign manufacturers from the domestic automotive market. Today in Moscow there are more than 20 enterprises for the manufacture of auto components.
They also added that at the end of last year, the Moscow Electric Vehicle Cluster was launched — a platform for organizing projects in the field of creating a component base for the production and maintenance of electric vehicles, as well as in the field of developing new technologies for organizing mass production of passenger electric vehicles, electric light trucks and electric buses.
“Capital companies are expanding the production of components and equipment for electric vehicles. Thus, one of the leading manufacturers doubled the range of charging stations in the first half of 2023 alone, and plans to increase by another 20% by the end of autumn. produce up to 200 fast and up to 1.1 thousand slow chargers.
