MOSCOW, August 3 Director Nikita Mikhalkov called People's Artist Irina Miroshnichenko a real star and noted that she experienced the happiness of the actress to the fullest.
Miroshnichenko passed away on Thursday at the age of 82 after a long illness.
«The star of Irina Miroshnichenko went out. She really was a real star. The Lord gave her talent, charming appearance, great energy — both vital and creative. And to all this she sacrificed all the other joys of a woman's life — family, motherhood, creating a house in the largest sense of the word. She burned in her work and burned very brightly,» Mikhalkov told reporters.
The director suggested that Miroshnichenko «drowned in business, in the profession» all the domestic troubles and problems that arise in life. For this, according to him, the profession thanked the actress, giving wonderful roles in the plays of great playwrights, in the films of great directors.
«She managed to save herself and her life from corrosive gossip, from unnecessary publicity, from alien and evil eyes and untied tongues. Whether she experienced the happiness of a woman — I don't know, I think she experienced the happiness of the actress to the fullest. In any case, from the moment her star lit up, she never faded. She was a star, she stayed with her, «Mikhalkov concluded.
Irina Miroshnichenko was born on July 24, 1942 in Barnaul. In 1965 she graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School and was immediately accepted into the troupe of the Moscow Art Academic Theatre. After the separation of the troupe in 1987, she remained in the team under the direction of Oleg Efremov (now the Moscow Art Theater named after A.P. Chekhov). She is known for her roles in the films «I'm walking around Moscow», «Andrey Rublev», «You never dreamed of …», «Winter Cherry 2», as well as numerous roles in the theater.
