Ukraine received $28 billion in aid in 2023, Shmyhal says

MOSCOW, Aug 4 Since the beginning of 2023, Ukraine has received $28 billion in financial support from partners, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said in his telegram -channel.

"This year Ukraine has already attracted 28 billion dollars of financial support from partners. From the EU — more than 11 billion dollars. More than $8 billion from the United States,» Shmygal wrote.

Earlier, Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko said that the country's budget could be revised this year, while the authorities hope that the volume of external financing of the budget will 2024 will be no less than in 2023.

Earlier, Chairman of the Budget Committee of the Verkhovna Rada Roksolana Pidlasa said that Ukraine has increased military spending since the beginning of the year, every second hryvnia from the state budget in 2023 is directed to defense.

Daniil Getmantsev, head of the tax committee of the Verkhovna Rada, reported in early April that Ukraine was able to cover only 60% of its expenses in the first quarter of 2023 at the expense of its own internal reserves.
