
MOSCOW, August 3 The rector of the Moscow Art Theater School Igor Zolotovitsky said in an interview that Irina Miroshnichenko was the most devoted person to the Art Theater.
Irina Miroshnichenko, People's Artist of Russia, died on August 3 after a severe and prolonged illness.
«Today the tragic news came — Irina Petrovna Miroshnichenko passed away. So brilliantly (celebrated) her 80th birthday, and now a year later she was gone. It's just does not fit in the head,» Zolotovitsky said.
He emphasized that the theater was the home of the actress.
“It seems to be banal words, but in relation to Irina Petrovna it was actually so. After all, she had no one and nothing but the theater. The theater was her real home, and the theater team was her family. Irina Petrovna was the most devoted to the Art Theater Our theater is 125 years old, and 60 of them Irina Petrovna has worked here, on the stage of the Moscow Art Theatre,» added the rector of the Moscow Art Theater School.
He recalled that Miroshnichenko played with the great Moscow Art Theater actors, worked with outstanding directors and directors Oleg Yefremov and Oleg Tabakov. Among the contemporary masters with whom she had a chance to work are Sergei Zhenovach and Konstantin Khabensky, Zolotovitsky noted.
