PERM, 7 Aug. A double-decker bus burst into flames and completely burned down on a highway near Perm, no one was injured, according to the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
According to the agency, on August 6, a bus caught fire on the highway near the village of Novy near Perm, following the route Perm — Sol-Iletsk. «There was a fire while the bus was moving. The fire area was 18 square meters, the preliminary reason was a malfunction of the vehicle's components and mechanisms,» the report says.
The department added that no one was hurt during the incident. The photographs from the scene of the accident show that the double-decker vehicle burned out completely, including the fire destroyed the roof, doors, windows, upholstery, leaving only the metal frame of the bus.
Sol-Iletsk is located in the Orenburg region, the city is a popular tourist destination due to its unique salt water lakes.
