23-year-old Anastasia Levashova, convicted of a Molotov cocktail at a rally against the war in Ukraine, came out of correctional colony No. 1 in the Vladimir region. This was reported by the human rights project «OVD-Info».
This happened during the action on the day of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, February 24, 2022. According to a video from the scene, the girl threw a Molotov cocktail on the boulevard next to Pushkin Square. He flew several meters and fell on a pedestrian crossing without crashing. No harm done.
According to investigators, Levashova, a student at the Social and Humanitarian University near Moscow (GSGU), was aiming at a crowd of policemen . She was detained on the spot and was soon accused of using violence against the security forces (Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code). At the same time, the Investigative Committee posted a video of Levashova's apology on camera, and the girl was sent under arrest.
The investigation of the case was completed in less than four days, and in March 2022, the Muscovite was sentenced to two years in a penal colony.
