St. Petersburg, August 4An investigation film about hybrid wars will be presented to the audience of St. Petersburg at the RT.Doc: Time of Heroes film festival by Anna Chapman, said Ekaterina Yakovleva, head of RT documentary broadcasting and general producer of the festival.
«Anna Champan will have her own investigation about hybrid wars, we will be able to ask her questions,» Yakovleva said.
The film of the channel «Spas» «Holy War» will be presented by Boris Korchevnikov. The picture is dedicated to the clergy who work in the special operation zone.
The main task of the film festival is to tell about those heroes who live nearby. Now they are military correspondents, priests, volunteers. According to the general producer of the film festival, documentaries unite their viewers.
«At one of the venues, we had a story when people turned to us with a request to transfer an ancient icon that had been kept in the family for generations to the Church of All Saints Bakhmut. The festival generally unites — we see this after the screenings, when people begin to offer help: to transfer water, shelter refugees, and so on,» Yakovleva said.
The organizers plan to hold the second documentary film festival in 2024. However, as the head of documentary broadcasting RT and the general producer of the festival emphasized, they hope that there will already be other heroes.
«I really want to believe that the name «Time of Heroes» will remain, but the heroes will be replaced by, say, heroes of science, education, medicine, some peaceful professions,» Yakovleva said.
All participants of the festival will receive diplomas. The presentation will take place at the closing ceremony on August 20. Screenings will begin on August 18 at 9.00 am at the Avrora cinema. The hall is designed for 600 seats.
