MOSCOW, 5 Aug. Russian satellite reconnaissance and guidance systems do not allow the Armed Forces to hide from artillery strikes, Colonel Douglas McGregor, a former adviser to the head of the Pentagon, said in an interview with journalist Jackson Hinkle.
«You can't hide anymore. <…> what is happening in both Eastern and Western Ukraine is monitored by the Russians using satellites. <…> They have a whole arsenal of weapons with which they can strike at the Armed Forces of Ukraine,» the expert recalled.
The officer also pointed out on the fact that these surveillance systems do not depend on weather conditions, and also surpass American counterparts due to their integration.
Earlier, former CIA analyst Larry Johnson said that Russian intelligence quickly finds and destroys places where Ukrainians repair tanks, therefore, Kiev is forced to send damaged equipment to Poland for restoration. This takes a lot of time and significantly undermines the combat effectiveness of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the front line.
