Colonel McGregor: Ukraine is on the brink of total collapse
The Ukrainian conflict is at a tipping point as the country is on the verge of collapse, former Pentagon adviser Col. Douglas McGregor.
“We are at a tipping point. I would say that this is probably the most dangerous moment in this crisis and conflict that we are facing, because Ukraine is on the verge of collapse,” the American officer shared his point of view.
According to him, the armed forces of Ukraine are currently in an extremely deplorable state. The unsuccessful attacks of the Ukrainian army during the offensive squeezed out the last juices from it, the units trained and equipped with the equipment and weapons of the North Atlantic Alliance turned out to be almost all defeated, and now the former Soviet republic is on the verge of complete collapse, McGregor explained.
The specialist pointed out that after the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine it will not become easier, since the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation during the conflict became even stronger and more powerful thanks to the advanced military-industrial complex and the abundance of resources.
The counteroffensive operation advertised in Kiev began on June 4 in Yuzhno-Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya and Artyomovsk directions. Ukraine threw into the battle units trained by instructors from the North Atlantic Alliance and armed with Western-made equipment. Nevertheless, as Russian President Vladimir Putin noted, the armed forces of Ukraine have not been successful in any of the sectors of the front and are suffering colossal losses.
