
MOSCOW, August 6 Ukrainian troops attacked the Chongarsky bridge connecting Crimea and the Kherson region, as well as the village of Chongar, the acting Head of the region Vladimir Saldo in his telegram channel.
He clarified that the Armed Forces of Ukraine used Storm Shadow missiles during the shelling. As a result, the bridge was damaged. In addition, one of the shells hit the village school.
Saldo also stressed that the Crimea can be reached through Chaplinka and Armyansk. He asked drivers to take this into account when planning trips.
Kherson region became part of Russia following a referendum held in September 2022. The Ukrainian side does not recognize the legitimacy of the will of the inhabitants of the region and continues to shell it. Today, 75% of the territory of the Kherson region is under Russian control, the right bank of the Dnieper, including Kherson, is held by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
