MOSCOW, August 7 The theater for the People's Artist of the RSFSR Irina Miroshnichenko was a mission and a service, Mikhail Shvydkoi, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for International Cultural Cooperation, said at the farewell ceremony.
Miroshnichenko died on August 3 at the age of 82 after a long illness.
«For her, the theater was, of course, a mission, a service. And at the same time she understood that the theater is happiness, it's a game, it's a holiday. She was generally a festive woman … She was an actress of the Art Theater. This title is high, happy and, of course, tragic, because being an actress of the Art Theater for 60 years is not only happiness … Every day you need to prove that you can, that you are strong, that you know the profession, that you do not envy anyone and at the same time you want to be better, «- Shvydkoi said.
He added that she had a lot of vitality, energy, smiling. «She resisted all her ailments very powerfully. Every time she appeared, there was a feeling that everything was fine, everything was in order, life goes on,» Shvydkoy said.
«You will not leave us anywhere. As long as we remember, you are alive,» concluded Shvydkoi.
Irina Miroshnichenko was born on July 24, 1942 in Barnaul. In 1965 she graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School and was immediately accepted into the troupe of the Moscow Art Academic Theatre. After the separation of the troupe in 1987, she remained in the team under the direction of Oleg Efremov (now the Moscow Art Theater named after A.P. Chekhov). She is known for her roles in the films «I'm walking around Moscow», «Andrey Rublev», «You never dreamed of …», «Winter Cherry 2», as well as numerous roles in the theater.
