MOSCOW, August 9 Sergiev Posad amounted to about 400 square meters, told reporters the head of the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Lieutenant-General of the Internal Service Sergey Poletykin.
“Part of the production facilities were destroyed, and in one of them there were fires on a total area of 400 square meters,” he said.
The explosion in Sergiev Posad near Moscow occurred on Wednesday morning. According to Vorobyov, the incident happened in a pyrotechnics warehouse, which was rented by a private company; 45 people were injured, 17 of them are in the hospital, five are in intensive care. A criminal case has been initiated on violation of industrial safety requirements.
