BLAGOVESCHENSK, August 10 A resident of the Amur region, who was going to fight on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, is accused of treason, the city court of Blagoveshchensk detained him for 2 months, the press reports — service of the city court.
This was requested by the investigators of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Amur Region. It follows from the materials of the case that the man is accused of committing a particularly serious crime against the foundations of the constitutional order and the security of the state and represents an increased public danger.
«Given the severity of the charge, the data on the identity of the accused, the court has sufficient grounds to believe that he may hide from the investigating authorities and court. In addition, the investigation collects and consolidates evidence. Based on the above, the court took the accused into custody for 2 months,» the report says.
The punishment for this crime is over 10 years in prison.
