Dozens of people were injured as a result of an explosion on the territory of the Zagorsk Optical and Mechanical Plant in Sergiev Posad. Five people may be under the rubble. Glasses were shattered in the houses located near the epicenter of the explosion, windows were torn out somewhere. Residents of house No. 6 on Osipenko Street say that they were bombarded with shrapnel.

Inside, everything is smashed to rubble, sewing machines have been torn off the tables, broken mannequins, fragments of chairs, and pieces of fabric are lying on the floor. From the window you can see thick black smoke rising behind the building.
Plant workers report that evacuation has been announced from the shops.
— All employees of the nearest offices were also dispersed to their homes, says Andrey, a resident of Sergiev Posad. — My friends work at the plant, they confirm that the explosion occurred in the hangar, which was rented by a private company. The company («Piro-Ross» -) occupied a rather large area there — about 1.6 thousand square meters. And was associated with pyrotechnics.
Another witness, Alexey, spoke about the explosion itself.
“They were just unloading something,” Alexey explains. — First, white smoke rose, and then this «mushroom» became dark. It didn't look like fireworks. Nothing flew, except for glass and mosquito nets from the windows … There was no fire. Most likely, pyrotechnic gunpowder exploded. The blast wave was very powerful. Everyone who was nearby was covered with some kind of white substance.
