
MOSCOW, Aug. 10 Consumer prices in the US in July showed an increase of 3.2% in annual terms against 3% a month earlier, according to
Inflation accelerated for the first time since June 2022.
In monthly terms, consumer prices in the US in July rose by 0.2% after rising also by 0.2% a month earlier. inflation was projected at 0.2%.
Core inflation in the US — excluding food and energy prices — slowed to 4.7% on an annualized basis from 4.8% in June, and on a monthly basis stood at 0.2 %, as in June.
Food prices in the US in July increased by 0.2%, energy prices — by 0.3%. In annual terms, food prices rose by 4.9%, energy prices fell by 20.3%.
