Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov commented the Pentagon's statement on the «proper use» of cluster munitions by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The words of the diplomat are quoted by RIA Novosti.
Antonov wondered if the death of Russian journalist Rostislav Zhuravlev on July 22 due to cluster munitions is an example of their “proper use” by Ukraine.
“Is there a limit cynicism of Pentagon functionaries making such statements?” commented a high-ranking diplomat.
According to him, Ukrainian terrorists armed by the West were involved in the murders of Vladlen Tatarsky and Daria Dugina, the death of hundreds of children, the blowing up of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station and the Crimean bridge . The Armed Forces of Ukraine regularly shell residential areas, attack civilian ships and the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
Antonov is sure that the responsibility for this lies not only with Kiev, but also with Washington.
Earlier, Ambassador Antonov stated, that the transfer of cluster munitions by the Americans to Ukraine dealt a serious blow to the wreckage of Russian-American relations.
