
MOSCOW, August 10 Over 60 events will be held as part of the business program of the VIII Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), which will be held on September 10–13 in Vladivostok at campus of the Far Eastern Federal University, according to the press service of the Roscongress Foundation, which is the organizer of the forum.
«The Eastern Economic Forum is a key platform for a comprehensive discussion of the issues of economic, infrastructural and socio-cultural development of the Far East. Among the key topics are the development of international cooperation in the new conditions, issues of technological modernization, transformation of logistics chains against the background of the increasingly active use of the Northern Sea Route. Within the on the international agenda, it is planned to hold business dialogues with representatives of India, China, Laos, Mongolia, ASEAN, as well as a meeting of the EAEU — BRICS. I am sure that the content of the business program will contribute to the rich work at the forum and the development of new solutions for the development of the region,» the message of the adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the EEF-2023 Anton Kobyakov.
According to the press service, the main theme of the forum is «On the way to cooperation, peace and prosperity.» The architecture of the business program published on the official website includes six thematic blocks: «International cooperation in a changed world», «Logistics of change», «Far East in 10 years: what has happened and what needs to be done?», «Technological development as a guarantee of sovereignty», » Far East of the Future», «Education and upbringing as the basis of independence».
The first block — «International Cooperation in a Changed World» — involves sessions dedicated to the formation of an alternative international monetary and financial system, scientific diplomacy and new forms of cooperation.
The experts will discuss the acceleration of cross-border cooperation, digital solutions for domestic and international logistics, rail and sea shipment of goods as part of the «Logistics of Change» track. Also, aspects of the functioning of the United Far Eastern Airline and the prospects for the development of the Northern Sea Route will be considered.
As noted in the message, one of the key tasks of the WEF in 2023 will be to sum up the ten-year development of the Far East. Participants in the events of the thematic block «The Far East in 10 years: what happened and what needs to be done?» will discuss preferential regimes in Russia, the energy industry, investments, business climate and environmental goals, the infrastructure of the Far East, as well as new tools for the development of the region.
In addition, the first International Forum «Day of the Falcon» will be held on the opening day of the EEF, designed to become an expert platform for a comprehensive dialogue and attract the attention of government officials, experts and the scientific community to the conservation, protection and enhancement of the population of birds of prey and rare species.
Young scientists, students and aspiring entrepreneurs will be able to discuss topical issues in the formation of a professional community within the framework of the EEF-2023 youth program. Aspects of the development of sectors of the economy related to creative and intellectual tasks will be affected by the participants of the Creative Business Forum. There will also be traditional presentations of the regions at the Far East Street exhibition and the 12th APEC International Conference on Cooperation in Higher Education.
