The Kuntsevsky District Court has fined the more.tv online cinema, owned by the National Media Group, two million rubles. This was reported by the correspondent of «Caution, the news» from the meeting room.
The claims were related to the age marking of the films «Perfect Strangers» and «The English Barber», which have lesbian characters and scenes of a kiss between two women (part 2 of article 6.21.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
A package of amendments on “LGBT propaganda” adopted at the end of 2022 obliged streaming platforms to put an 18+ restriction on tapes in which, according to Roskomnadzor, “demonstrate non-traditional sexual relations” .
Beeline TV, Megafon TV, Tricolor Kino and TV, Okko, Kinopoisk, ivi and others imposed millions of fines because of these same two films. In total, by July, Roskomnadzor compiled more than 30 protocols for Russian streaming services due to age marking.
