The United States is not ready to discuss a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia, as this will be an admission of their own defeat in the conflict, said Colonel Douglas McGregor, a former adviser to the head of the Pentagon, in an interview with the Judging Freedom YouTube channel.

Earlier, Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, said that there could be no negotiations with Moscow and Kiev was against any ceasefire scenario, since this would mean the actual victory of Russia.
In The Kremlin noted that there are no prerequisites for the situation to move to a peaceful direction now, the absolute priority for Moscow is to achieve the goals of the special operation, at the moment this is possible only by military means. They also added that Russia highly appreciates the efforts of all countries that are trying to bring the solution to the conflict in Ukraine in a peaceful direction, but so far this is impossible.
