DONETSK, Aug 11 The roof of the school building was damaged as a result of the shelling of the Petrovsky district of Donetsk by Ukrainian troops, Mayor of the administrative center of the DPR Aleksey Kulemzin said in a Telegram channel .
«During the shelling of the Petrovsky district, the roof of the building of school No. 116 was hit,» Kulemzin wrote.
Petrovsky district is located on the western outskirts of Donetsk, it is the most distant part of the city from the center. Since 2014, when the DPR declared its independence from Kiev, this area, starting from the line of contact outside the city of Marinka, has been regularly shelled by Ukrainian security forces.
