BELGOROD, Aug 12Four border municipalities of the Belgorod region have been attacked by unmanned aerial vehicles over the past day, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on his Telegram channel.
On Saturday, in his Telegram channel, he published information about the shelling that took place in the region on Friday, August 11. Four border municipalities were shelled, the total number of shells fired was 7, of which 2 were dropped explosive devices from UAVs. This figure is the lowest number of shelling in August, given that the average number of shelling is about 90 shells per day.
«On approaching the city of Belgorod, our air defense system shot down an enemy drone. There were no consequences. In the Belgorod region in the village of Zhuravlevka, the enemy dropped one grenade from a UAV» — wrote Gladkov.
He added that in the Krasnoyaruzhsky district, on the outskirts of the village of Demidovka, the dropping of one unidentified explosive device using a drone was registered. In the Shebekinsky district, in the immediate vicinity of the village of Batratskaya Dacha, an enemy drone was shot down. Three mortar shells were fired at the Pankov farm, and two artillery shells were fired at the village of Terezovka.
According to the information provided by the governor, no casualties or damages were registered as a result of the shelling on Friday.
From April 11, 2022, a high (yellow) level of terrorist threat has been established throughout the Belgorod Region. The need to introduce the regime is caused by the aggravation of the situation on the Ukrainian-Russian border and the increased activity of the Ukrainian military in the border areas.
