MOSCOW, August 9 Farewell to People's Artist of the USSR Vera Vasilyeva will take place on Saturday at the Theater of Satire, where she served, the press service of the institution reported.
Vera Vasilyeva died on Wednesday at the age of 98.
“Farewell to Vera Kuzminichnaya will take place on Saturday at her native theater – the Satire Theatre,” said a representative of the press service.
Vera Vasilyeva was born on 30 September 1925 in Moscow. In 1948 she graduated from the Moscow City Theater School. Since 1948 she worked in the troupe of the Theater of Satire. She has played more than 40 roles in the theater, including the Queen in The Magic Rings of Almanzor, Vyshnevskaya in Profitable Place, Countess Almaviva in Crazy Day, or The Marriage of Figaro, and many others.
< br />The cinematography brought national fame to the actress. Filmography Vasilyeva has more than 30 paintings. Among the paintings with her participation: «Wedding with a Dowry», «Star of the Screen», «Carnival», «While the Fern is Blooming», «Hill Country» and others. The actress also voiced the cartoons «First Violin», «Umka is looking for a friend», «The Wizard of the Emerald City».
