Drama «Shal» (The Old Man) directed by Ermek Tursunov — nominee for international awards and festivals Asia Pacific Screen Awards (2013) and Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (2013), as well as the Russian film award «Nika» (2014) will open a series of screenings on 18 August. The film is based on Ernest Hemingway's story «The Old Man and the Sea,» the press service said.

Besides, the program included the story about maternal love «Road to Mother» directed by Akan Sataev and the military drama «Myn Bal's Army».
