The court did not arrest a Petersburger who blew up an airsoft grenade at a meeting of furry fans in the park

The Primorsky District Court of St. Petersburg rejected the investigators' demand to send Daniil Magrov to a pre-trial detention center, who attacked a gathering of fans furry with an airsoft grenade. This was reported by the joint press service of the city courts.

Instead, 19-year-old Magrov was appointed as a measure of restraint a ban on certain actions — leaving the house at night, leaving St. Petersburg, using the Internet and attending furry events.< /p>

A picnic in Udelny Park on the afternoon of August 6 was hosted by the St. Petersburg furry community on VKontakte called Furrburg. According to the video from the site, several dozen people, including teenagers, came to see him, furry costumes are not visible on them.

Participants of the meeting told Fontanka that they saw a tall guy in a balaclava who was walking around and around. With him, as noted by the police, he had «an airsoft grenade with pepper gas.» Magrov suddenly pulled the pin out of the grenade, and the crowd ran up to him and knocked him to the ground. At this time, the grenade exploded.

Magrova was tied up and handed over to the police, who opened a case of hooliganism (Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code). He had two more of these grenades with him. On August 8, the court already considered a petition for the arrest of the attacker, but then the decision was not made and the detention period was extended by 72 hours.

According to Fontanka, Magrov injured his finger due to the explosion. Furrburg participants also write about a broken finger of one of the organizers of the gathering, who “grabbed a grenade from the hands of a grenadier and took the blow.”
