The leader of the children's camp «Multfilm» in the Bakhchisarai district of Crimea was suspended from work due to a video posted on social networks in which she «insulted children from the city of Shebekino, Belgorod region.» This was reported to Vesti Krym by the Ministry of Education of the annexed peninsula.
On August 11, the Readovka telegram channel published a video in which counselor Maria Sukhomlin screams at a child who refuses to go to bed after lights out that she will “kill him.” The telegram channel also showed one of the counselor’s personal video messages from the messenger, in which she calls her wards “vile Russian children.”
According to Readovka, the girl is studying at a university in Kharkov and “intentionally maintains her social networks in Ukrainian. <…> The geo-position on one of her photos is «Ukraine. Crimea». Later, the telegram channel published a video with apologies to Sukhomlin. On it, the counselor says that she was “at the peak of a nervous breakdown” and did not want to offend and humiliate the children.
Following this, Readovka showed a video in which a girl, hiding her face, leaves the camp gate accompanied by a police officer and gets into a police car. Whether the counselor was detained is unknown.
The Crimean Ministry of Education said that they were conducting an internal check against Sukhomlin. In the message of department it is said that earlier complaints from children and parents on it were not received.
