VLADIVOSTOK, Aug 12 More than 600 people from the flooded areas of Primorye have been evacuated to temporary accommodation centers, the regional government reports on its Telegram channel.
«In points of temporary accommodation throughout the region are 612 people,» — said in a statement.
On Tuesday Primhydromet announced a storm warning, it was reported that under the influence of typhoon «Hanun» and the polar front on August 10-12 in the Primorsky Territory, from 50% to 110% of the monthly rainfall could fall. On Friday night, the largest amount of precipitation fell in Ussuriysk and in the western regions of the region, extensive floods were observed during the day. On Saturday morning, the Ministry of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the Territory reported that 32 settlements were cut off in the region, 543 private houses and 1,429 household plots were flooded, as well as 40 sections of roads. According to information provided by the press service of the ministry, the state of emergency for Friday-Saturday was introduced in nine municipalities of the region. On Saturday morning, a dam broke through in Ussuriysk, as they said in the local EDDS. According to the prosecutor's office, after the damage to the dam, the evacuation of residents of the first floors of nearby houses began, to the windows of which water began to reach.
