DONETSK, Aug 13 Ukrainian troops fired four 155mm cluster shells in Donetsk in 15 minutes, the DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination reported on their telegram channel issues related to war crimes in Ukraine (JCCC).
«Fire was recorded from the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (Armed Forces of Ukraine — ed.) in the direction: 12:35 — the settlement of Maksimilyanovka — the city of Donetsk (Petrovsky district): two shells with a caliber of 155 millimeters (cassette) were fired; 12:50 — the settlement of Galitsinovka — the city of Donetsk (Petrovsky and Kirovsky districts): two shells with a caliber of 155 millimeters (cassette) were fired,» the report says.
In addition, the mission reported that Ukrainian troops additionally fired nine 155mm conventional shells at Donetsk, four 152mm shells at Horlivka, and four 155mm cluster shells at the Yasinovatsky district.
155 mm artillery is used by NATO countries. The United States has supplied Ukraine with long-range M777 howitzers of 155 mm caliber, Ukrainian troops are actively using them to shell the cities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. Also, the Ukrainian troops were supplied with German PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery mounts, Polish Krab self-propelled guns and French CAESAR self-propelled guns using shells of this caliber.
