SAMARA, Aug 14 A forest fire in the Zhiguli nature reserve near the village of Bakhilova Polyana in the Samara region is localized on an area of 9.4 hectares, according to Telegram channel of the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations.
«Currently, a forest fire near the village of Bakhilova Polyana near Zhigulevsk is localized on an area of 9.4 hectares,» the report says.
The department also notes that there were no dead or injured in the fire.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 245 people, 50 units of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire, including 186 people, 29 units of equipment from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia. As additional forces and means, an airmobile group of the Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the Samara Region, a group for the use of unmanned aerial systems of the Main Directorate, and the Volga Rescue Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry were involved.
Earlier, the press service of the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that on August 12 at 13.01 (12.01 Moscow time) a forest fire was reported in two quarters of the Bakhilovsky district forestry of the Zhigulevsky Reserve near the village of Bakhilova Polyana near Zhigulevsk. The fire area was approximately eight hectares, the active burning area was 1.5 hectares, the area covered by fire was 6.5 hectares.
