On the night of August 5, in a cafe in the Nerchinsko-Zavodsky district of the Trans-Baikal Territory, a conflict broke out between local residents and two participants in the war in Ukraine — Mikhail Taskin and Sergey Elgin. The latter lost a leg in the course of hostilities. After that, the disabled left by car for their native village.
On the way, the car with the men stalled, and they again met the visitors of the cafe, with whom they had recently had a conflict. As the public “Transbaikalia Chita” wrote, two local residents began to beat one of the disabled — they kicked him, while six more people, including two girls, “cheered them up cheerfully.”
“Another participant tried to protect his comrade CBO, but he was also without a leg, and therefore the forces were not equal. The attackers called the members of the SVO «killers» and in every possible way mocked the disabled, ”says the post “Transbaikalia Chita”.
Moskovsky Komsomolets also reported that awards were torn off one of the beaten men and his phone was broken. In addition, according to the publication, the attackers damaged the car in which Taskin and Elgin were traveling.
Initially, a criminal case was opened under the article on damage to property (Article 167 of the Criminal Code). Later, articles on causing harm to health (Article 115 of the Criminal Code) and “discrediting” the army (Part 2 of Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code) were added to it. participated in the fight. On August 8, the second person involved in the case was detained, on the same day it became known that Zavyalov was put on the wanted list. On August 10, the man was arrested in absentia.
