MOSCOW, Aug 13 Poland plans to block the Brest Gate with American helicopters Apache and Abrams tanks, Defense Minister Mariusz Błaszczak told TVP Info.

"Next week we expect the US Congress to decide on our request for Apache attack helicopters. Thus, «Abrams» together with "Apache" will form a barrier that will close the Brest Gates,” said a Polish official.
In his opinion, American military equipment will become an “insurmountable barrier.”
The Brest Gates is a plain approximately 80 kilometers wide between the rivers Narew and Bug on the border with Belarus.
Earlier, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that the military spending of the republic in 2023 will reach four percent of GDP. The conflict in Ukraine has become a reason for Warsaw to arm itself faster, the head of government said. According to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, the active militarization of Poland increases the risks for Moscow's security.
